Gloves with aluminum foil
Many of us have encountered a situation where we need to protect our hands from something hot or, conversely, cold. A variety of improvised means are used, and one of the unexpectedly effective gloves are wrapped in aluminum foil. It sounds strange? In fact, this is a simple and affordable way to create a temporary but completely effective protection. Let's figure out in which cases it can be useful and how to do it correctly.
Heat protection:
Aluminum foil is an excellent heat reflector. If you need to take something hotter from the oven for a short time, for example, a baking sheet with just baked pie, gloves wrapped in foil can become a real salvation. The foil will not allow the heat to quickly penetrate your hands, giving you enough time for safe manipulation. It is important to remember that this is a temporary measure, and it is still better to use special heat -resistant gloves to work with very high temperatures. But for household tasks, this method is quite suitable.
Cold protection:
Foil can help in the fight against cold. Although it does not warm on its own, it creates an air barrier between the hand and the external environment, reducing the heat transfer. Of course, this is not a replacement for warm mittens in severe frost, but it can be useful in short -term contact with cold objects, for example, when working in a refrigerator or on the street in cool weather. In combination with conventional cotton gloves, the effect intensifies.
How to use it correctly:
It is important to gently wrap the gloves with foil, trying to avoid the formation of folds and ruptures. The more tightly the foil adjacent to the glove, the more effective the protection will be. After use, gloves with foil are easily cleaned - just remove the foil and throw it away. Remember that this is an emergency method, and for constant work with high or low temperatures, you should use special protective equipment. But in everyday life, this approach can be very useful.
